I haven’t been blogging lately or posting much on Facebook. I am slowly (and I mean slowly) recovering from a concussion. Physically I’m pretty much back to normal, but my poor little scrambled brain isn’t quite up to snuff. So, writing, email, etc. is a challenge. As soon as I’m feeling “normal” again, I’ll start writing. We wanted to get these flyers out to you so you can keep on top of upcoming events.

Creating the Sacred Drum— A Drum Making Playshop

drums Making your own drum begins a journey as you give birth to this instrument of Spirit. This drum making playshop involves not only the learning of a physical skill but also a journey into the realm of Spirit. Ceremonies are done throughout the day to connect you to the spirits of the elk and cedar tree as well as the spirit of the drum. Birthing your drum begins a relationship of healing, learning and teaching between you and Spirit through the drum as it sings its song.

Summer solstice celebration
Saturday, June 20, 2015 |6pm -??

grill We will be hosting a Summer Solstice Celebration with playshop participants from either or both days. We will do a pot luck barbeque for dinner (grass-fed beef burger provided). Then we will do a ceremony to celebrate the solstice and do some drumming (drums will be provided – drums made earlier in the day will not be ready to play).

Come help us build the medicine wheel here at Shaman’s Grove and spend the afternoon exploring the energies of the Medicine Wheel.

Medwheel This workshop is an experiential day working with Medicine Wheel Energies and your Light Body energy. The Native American Medicine Wheel is based on the perception that all things are related and must be in harmony for the earth to be in balance. It acts as a springboard of power that will allow you to connect with all the energies of the Universe. All will participate in creating the Medicine Wheel and learn how to apply its energies to daily life through exercises and ceremonies. These exercises and ceremonies will help you get in touch with a directional totem, as well as gain knowledge and energy from the spirits of the wheel, which can heal both yourself and Mother Earth.
